"Colorado Colors" Fused Glass Wall Panels

The Colorado Colors project was designed for Mesa State College, and is intended to provide inspiration to the students and faculty working there. The school is located near the “red rocks” area in Grand Junction, Colorado. The colors for the glass panels were chosen from the reds, oranges and ambers of the local rock formations, greens for the fruit orchards, blues for sky and water, and purples for the wine grapes. The project required a trip to Colorado to visit the site, and a presentation to the local art committee and the Denver Commission on the Arts. A detailed sketch proposal, budget, and samples were provided in the design process.  A small glass dedication plaque was also provided.
